He is an internationally recognized leader in urology, specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of urinary stones. He serves as Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and holds several national leadership roles in Chinese urological associations. He is best known for inventing Super-mini PCNL (SMP), a breakthrough technique in stone surgery.
He has led China’s first nationwide study on urinary stones, published over 130 SCI-indexed papers, and holds multiple international patents. A committed educator, he has trained over 10,000 urologists through more than 300 workshops globally and performed live surgeries in 18 countries.
