This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with Dotdash Meredith. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.

PEOPLE is looking for a Lifestyle Digital Travel Writer, to work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. The ideal candidate has a passion for travel and celebrity reporting, as well as a network of contacts in the travel world. They are an enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Speed will be essential in reporting and writing. They will be expected to write daily under tight deadlines and develop sources in both the travel and celebrity spaces. This person may be called on during off-hours, breaking news situations to reach out to sources for on-the-ground, original reporting.

Skills/Experience

• 2-3 years of experience reporting and writing digital news stories at a national level.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to work independently.
• Strong writing and research skills and impeccable journalistic standards.
• Strong reporting and interviewing skills and the ability to cultivate new sources.
• Ability to respond quickly to breaking news is a must, and experience covering the entertainment industry is preferred but not required.

Pay rate: $28-30 per hour

Assignment is 3 months with the potential to extend Dotdash Meredith
