Transportation Supervisor

Job description:

Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs, and coordinates all route services to provide passengers with fast, efficient, and safe transportation.
• Directly supervises dispatchers, lead dispatchers and bus operators.
• Supervises operations and ensures that activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Drives PDRTA routes when necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or minimum of two years responsible supervisory experience; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
• Proven experience in transportation operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Other Requirements:

• CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement. In-house CDL training and testing available .
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and criminal background check.
• Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen.

Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
