Substitute Teacher – Dallas, TX & Surrounding Communities

Teachers Now is seeking reliable and motivated Substitute Teachers to support schools across Dallas, TX and nearby areas. In this role, you’ll step in when regular educators are away, ensuring students stay engaged, lessons stay on track, and classrooms remain positive, structured spaces for learning.
Compensation$90–$120 per day
(Based on your education level and/or valid Texas teaching certification)
Lead classroom instruction by following lesson plans prepared by the teacher
Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed learning environment
Encourage active student participation and address behavior constructively
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during transitions
Assign, collect, and review work that aligns with the day’s learning objectives
Keep accurate attendance records and promptly report concerns to school staff
Collaborate with other educators and administrators to meet academic and behavioral goals
For long-term assignments, develop and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
Monday–Friday availability required
Full Day: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Half Day: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Associate degree or at least 60 college credit hours (required)
Bachelor’s degree or Texas Teaching Certificate (preferred)
At least 1 year of classroom or childcare experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
