Ready to take your career to new heights? You'll join a collaborative, high-performing team with a fun, flexible environment, work onsite 4 days a week at our Canton, MA HQ, with occasional travel to our other offices.

We're seeking a detailed oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to assist in accounting and financial operations for our construction business. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and cost control across multiple job sites and contracts.

What's Your Day Like? (Key Responsibilities)

  • Full-cycle accounting including GL, AP, AR, and payroll support
  • Job cost accounting: track budgets, cost codes, change orders, and progress billings
  • Review and code general and administrative expenses as needed
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
  • Ensure proper coding and documentation of construction invoices and lien releases
  • Maintain fixed asset scheduling and depreciation records
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations
  • Support intercompany reconciliations for various entities

Skills You'll Nail (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction project-based industries
  • Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and job costing principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advance Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Blueprint Bonus Skills (What Sets You Apart)

  • Experience with ERP systems and paperless workflows
  • Knowledge of sales & use tax compliance in construction
  • Familiarity with lien laws and construction contracts
