Job Description

Our client is seeking an analytical Senior Construction Accountant to support their growing operations across Ohio. This role focuses on maintaining accuracy and efficiency across project financials, leveraging tools like Microsoft Excel.The ideal candidate will bring an eye for detail andprevious construction accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets, ensuring compliance with financial goals and contract terms.
• Prepare and monitor project cost reports, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Process and track invoices, subcontractor payments, and change orders.
• Oversee monthly project billings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Reconcile project accounts and maintain detailed financial records.
• Collaborate with project managers to forecast project cash flows and financial performance.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders, including job cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and accounting standards.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation for financial reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of GL or construction accounting experience required. Exposure to billing preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
