We are currently looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist to join our Physical Therapy team located at the Ada Wellness Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
*Summary:*
Provides physical therapy services to patients referred to physical therapy and provides supervision and instruction to the department/facility staff as required.
*Responsibilities:*
* Confers with person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient care and keep them informed of any additional patient needs, treatments, modifications and/or progress
* Implements proper techniques to assist and handle patients, and the ability to handle tools and machines of the profession
* Coordinates with staff for patient scheduling and implementing physical therapy services
* Performs housekeeping duties by routine and periodic cleaning to maintain cleanliness and infection control
* Evaluates assigned patients referred to physical therapy or other offered services by the department
* Interprets and carries out the prescription of the physician
* Maintains a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the department/facility
* Provides and advocates age and culturally appropriate, holistic patient care based upon facility mission statements and as outlined in policies and procedures
* Performs research and conducts presentations as required
* Assist managers and/or supervisors identifying staffing needs and recruitment
* Proposes new ideas to improve offerings, processes and procedures
* Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
* Prepares reports as needed or requested
* Maintains files, logs, and records
* Participates in meetings to ensure effective communication with staff, peers, supervisors and management
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
* Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
* Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
* Greets and engages with a smile

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
