Job Summary:

Greenhills Chicago-based Investment Banking group is seeking an Investment Banking Associate 1 or Associate 2 to join their expanding team. The group specializes in Industrials & Diversified Industries, mainly focusing on M&A transactions.

Associates are involved in designing, originating, structuring, and executing mergers & acquisitions, including buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates. An Associate is expected to analyze industry and product trends and contribute to pitch and deal materials to enhance client deliverables.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting quantitative research and analysis on economics, industries, and companies
• Drafting pitch books with industry insights
• Modeling various corporate finance alternatives and conducting due diligence for client transactions
• Performing financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis, including DCF, comparables, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger analyses
• Collaborating across teams to generate ideas and develop solutions
• Preparing client presentations and materials with high quality and accuracy
• Supporting the evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution of M&A transactions
• Developing and maintaining client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in finance or economics, with at least 3 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience at a top-tier bank OR an MBA focused on Finance or Economics
• Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
• Experience in Industrials & Diversified Industries Investment Banking is a strong plus
• Ability to synthesize large information sets and develop innovative solutions
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Maturity and good judgment with confidential information
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Creativity and intellectual curiosity
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Salary ranges from $175K - $225K, based on skills, experience, education, and other factors. Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits.
