Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures is preferred. A valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics. A high school diploma or GED is required and will be verified at the time of hire. BLS is required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within the first 30 days). Background, drug, and nicotine screens are required. All new hires must receive various vaccinations including influenza vaccine unless exempted. FCS is a drug-free workplace and does not recognize Medical Marijuana cards.
