____________________________________________________________________________ As a School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will provide direct, intensive care to students with complex medical needs (e.g., ventilators, feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, IV medications). The Medically Fragile/Complex skilled LPNs are dedicated to one medically fragile student at a time. Responsibilities: ● The nurse will be expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders IEP/504 plans and provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers ● Nurse will be expected to complete daily documentation ● Conducts detailed health assessments and continuous monitoring. ● Manages advanced medical equipment and emergency interventions. ● Collaborates with physicians, therapists, and families to develop individualized care plans. ● Provides education and emotional support to families on the student’s condition and home-care needs ● 1:1 school nurse position may include bus runs, field trips, and care for students. Minimum Requirements: ● Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, valid nursing license in PA ● CPR - BLS American Heart Association ● Certification or experience in pediatric or adult critical care (CCRN, PALS, etc.) is preferred. ● A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical or home-care setting, preferably with students/patients who have complex medical conditions ● Experience with ventilators, feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, and other equipment for medically fragile individuals. ● PPD or chest x-ray if applicable ● Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)● Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsWellspring is nurse owned and operated which means that we get you, we stand behind you, and we advocate for you.
