We are looking for a Freelance Facilities Manager for a top fashion company in New York, New York!
Job Overview:
- Strategy, organization and general management OF the maintenance for Brand's North America stores & corporate offices
- Global maintenance guidelines reconciliation, Under HQ maintenance leadership
- Back of house design coordination and guidelines
- Stores compliance on all subjects
- Health & Safety upkeeping for na stores & corporate offices
- Stores & offices closure management, including related warehouses
Responsibilities:
- Budgeting of the Opex maintenance cost (Preventative, Reactive, Cosmetic) in tight cooperation through REGIONAL retail OPS and finance teams
- Use general manage and updates of the maintence management software (fexa or similar)
- Maintenance works coordination, quality control, leading the team of stakeholders and in relation with store management/direction. Complete supplier payment requests on time, manage maintenance records
- Stores preventative planned maintenance: constant check and follow-up of the status of the stores. Yearly bid among suppliers. Continuous scouting of new suppliers. Maintenance contracts subscription for suppliers through legal dept
- Stores reactive maintenance: define on yearly basis, suppliers and best t&c to cover all needs, including millwork
- Emergency helpline management and responsibility, for after-hours/weekends/holidays
- Teamwork with procurement & legal team of new contracts, preparing specifications and contract documentation, evaluation of quotation returns and recommending variations to the contracts. Debrief and analysis during the contract
- Carrying out regular contract(s) for inspections and audits in order to monitor service provision, value for money and contract legislative compliance
- Adherence and understanding of energy and environmental management implications, responsibilities and legislation relating to areas managed, including the training of service providers
- Adherence to and compliance with Statutory Obligations for occupation and Brand's Policies and Procedures
Required Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Building Engineering or Architecture, at least 8 years of experience in complex organization, managing wide and prestigious retail network and innovative buildings
- A relationship builder and collaborator recognized for excellent communication skills, attention to details, and follow through
- A strategic thinker, acting as a leader and inspiring high functioning collaborative teams
- Privileging teamwork, with great communicating skills
- Experience in managing providers and with large network / portfolio of suppliers
- IT Skills: Office Pack, AutoCAD, Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design) - working in PC environment.
- Languages : English fluently, plus preferably a second language Italian or Spanish
