The Children’s Services Council of Martin County (CSCMC) is seeking a dynamic, experienced Executive Director to guide our mission of improving outcomes for youth and strengthening our community. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established local government entity dedicated to funding and supporting programs that ensure all children are healthy, safe, and ready to succeed.

As the professional leader and official representative of CSCMC, the Executive Director will work closely with the Governing Council, staff, and community partners to set the direction for impactful, data-driven initiatives. We are looking for a collaborative, results-oriented leader who can navigate complex systems, inspire stakeholders, and champion policies that place children at the center of Martin County’s future.

General Duties:

Planning, budgeting, advocacy, community leadership, implementing, managing and evaluating the activities and functions of the Children’s Services Council of Martin County.

Strategic Leadership

• Assists the Children’s Services Council of Martin County (CSCMC) in defining the organization’s vision, mission, strategic direction, and policies.
• Develops a comprehensive set of guiding principles and values that guides all considerations on how to achieve the CSCMC’s vision, mission, and goals.
• In concert with and after consultations with appropriate providers, community partners, community representatives, managers, and staff, sets the direction and focus of activities.
• Oversees the development of a strategic plan for CSCMC that anticipates, assesses, and shapes responses to both short-term issues and long-term opportunities and challenges.

Position objectives include Planning, Financial and Program Management, Operations Management, Community Relations and Advocacy, and Board Relations.

Minimum Educational Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or other related area of specialization (preferred), with ten or more years of proven experience in management/leadership, community planning, program development and evaluation, agency budgeting, or related activities. A Master’s degree can substitute with a minimum of five years professional experience.

• How would you describe your leadership style, and how has it shaped the teams and organizations you’ve led?
• What unique strengths or experiences do you bring that would position you for success in this role?
