Job Description

Description Responsible for performing manual and unskilled labor in connection with equipment operations, landscaping, and river cleanup tasks. Minimum Requirements Requirements: Must be able to operate various types of motorized construction and landscaping equipment, as well as watercraft including trash skimmer vessels. Must learn signaling and rigging. Must operate all equipment safely over rough, icy, or unstable surfaces. Must be able to swim. Education: High School Diploma, Vocational School Diploma, or equivalency certificate. License and Certifications: Current Class B CDL License required; Class A preferred. Must pass a boat safety course and have the boat endorsement on driver’s license. Annual CPR and AED certification required. Experience: At least four (4) years in operation and maintenance of construction and landscaping equipment, and operation of boats and trash skimmers. Knowledge of safety practices and standard methods is required. Physical Demands: Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations. Must qualify for confined space entry with proper PPE, including masks and SCBA. Capable of physical activities such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, walking, stooping, and handling heavy objects. Working Conditions: Work in extreme weather conditions near rivers, streams, wastewater treatment plants, and sewer systems. Indoor and outdoor work depending on the position.
