Role Purpose

This position will take a lead role in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of plant process control and power distribution systems. Position reports to Technical Manager.

Key Relationships

This position works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and P&E.

Main Accountabilities

  • Assist the plant electrical safety advisor and expert
  • Provide/manage support for plant network infrastructure
  • Develop the technical skills of others outside the electrical discipline
  • Help Manage electrical and instrumentation technical specifications, standards, and guidelines
  • Cooperatively work with engineering teams to plan, develop, support, and implement capital and sustaining projects to improve safety, reduce costs, improve quality, reduce environmental impacts and increase capacity
  • Provide/assist low and medium voltage preventive maintenance oversight and enhancement
  • Assist in the management of Capital Projects
  • Assist/Participate maintenance team on corrective actions from predictive maintenance testing of electrical systems
  • Assist/participate maintenance team in planned plant outages required for major electrical and control system upgrades

Skills and Experience Required

  • BS degree Electrical Engineering
  • Internship experience Preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic) and HMI design.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working with us in Loudon

Loudon is a small town of 6000 people around 30 miles southwest of Knoxville in East Tennessee. Our plant is an established and well-respected part of the local community – you will find a real family feel across the site. We put a total focus on safety, and we do not work with hazardous materials or require medical surveillance programs. The facilities include free parking and an onsite gym and canteen.

Relocating to Loudon (or our region)

Loudon is a relaxed, charming small town on the Tennessee river, famed for its scenic and historic downtown. Loudon county is known as the Lakeway to the Smokies, with countless recreational activities in the lakes and countryside. If you prefer life at a faster pace, Knoxville and its attractions are only 30 minutes away, making for a straightforward commute.

Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is $79,325.60 - $99,157.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range. ​
