Job Description
Newmark is a commercial real estate company that offers real estate brokerage, leasing, and property management services. They are seeking an Analyst to assist in the collection and analysis of data for senior staff to evaluate market values of real estate for various purposes.
Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and report appraisal-related market data through internal and external sources.
Understand all company research-related database programs.
Inspect properties as part of the valuation process alongside the Senior Appraiser.
Assist in preparing sections of appraisal reports under the supervision of a State Certified Appraiser.
Utilize all necessary software programs used for valuation reports.
Continue training on government regulations, zoning laws, and appraisal standards.
Utilize third-party data sources effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in real estate, economics, or finance.
Must have or obtain an appraiser trainee license issued by the state Board.
Proficient in Excel and Word.
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Preferred
MS or MBA in Real Estate is preferred.
Knowledge of Argus is a plus.
Prior experience in real estate analysis, market research, or related fields is preferred.
